Abby
Abby (formerly Annabelle) is a fun,
lovable addition to our family. She
adores her lab mix sister, Laney, who
taught her right away how to use the
doggie door and stay off the furniture.
(Once in a while, we catch Abby napping
on one of our big, cushy chairs her
long legs stretched out on the ottoman
but she gets down as soon as we tell her.)
Abby is full of playful puppy energy. She
loves to go for long walks (we take
hour-long walks virtually every day) and
to the doggie park. Lately, she's been rough-housing a bit too much with some of
the smaller dogs at the park, so we're working on playing nice.
We started obedience training with Abby and Laney a few weeks ago. They are
both doing well. Abby is especially good at sitting & staying and lying down &
staying. She watches for our signals with her big brown eyes and is so happy
when we praise her.
Overall, Abby is doing really well. We're working on positively channeling her
energy and correcting her rough play. Other than that, Abby is very well socialized
and is on her best behavior around the house. Especially now that the weather is
cooler, she loves to sit outside and watch the golfers pass by...or chase the
occasional lizard.
We really love Abby! Thank you again to ALGBR for rescuing her and bringing her
into our lives!
