Joe
Hi, my name is Joe. I'm the black, male lab mix
that everyone is passing over for those purebred
labs. They say that black males are the hardest to
place, but that just doesn't make sense to me. I
have alot of those lab quailities and a few more. I
have alot of reasons why you should adopt me
and not those bouncy, crazy labs.
- I have a wonderful soft, shiny coat that is just
great to snuggle with.
- My ears stick out a little funny, but all the better to hear you when you call my
name. Just call me and I'll come running, whether I'm in the house, outside of
the yard or even when I'm busy chasing the pigeons out of the yard.
- I'm not as clingy as a lab, so you won't be tripping over me when you turn
around. I'm a little more independent, but I will be close by.
- I have wonderful manners. I don't get on the furniture like those other labs in
my foster home. I'm very happy with a doggie bed and will let you have the
couch and bed all to yourself.
- I'm not surfing your counters or eating the furniture. I make a great
companion, so walking is just wonderful for me. I don't have the need to jog or
chase the tennis ball all day.
- I'm great with all dogs, large and small. Even that pesty Jack Russell that
hangs around here. I don't feel I have to be the boss, but I would love to have
another dog to play with or keep me company when you aren't home.
- I have a good bark, so I'll let you know if someone comes to the door, but will
welcome them.
- I take treats very nicely, so the kids or grandkids can give me treats!
- I'm just a great all around dog that will be your best friend for the rest of my life.
