Max 4
Max 4 is a beautiful Great Dane
boy! He will be 5 years old in
November and has a color
pattern known as Boston or
Mantle. He is a mature dog and
has a very quiet and settled personality. He is extremely well mannered
and can be trusted around people of all ages. He is very large, but likes to
get up and cuddle by leaning against you while you pet him. He is an
absolute gentle giant and will stand quietly and soak up as much attention
as he can get.
He enjoys going on walks, and walks very well on a leash. He is friendly to
strangers that he meets. He knows basic obedience and wants nothing
more than to please you when you ask him to do something. He does
enjoy getting up on the couch, but will listen if you ask him not to. He is
housetrained and trustworthy in the house.
He is friendly with cats, horses, and birds. He enjoys being with female
dogs. Because of his past as a breeding dog, we are not placing him in a
home with another male dog.
He has a med-low energy level and mostly just likes to chill out and relax.
We did get him to fetch a rope toy a couple of times and it was hysterical to
watch him gallop! He likes to be wherever his people are, and will get up
and follow you when you leave the room.
He is the type of dog that you can fall in love with very quickly, and he will
promise to return the love back to you ten-fold. He is very loving and kind
and a perfect example of what a gentle giant is.
