Walter
Hi! My name is Walter.
I am a young 1 ½ year old
great dane/lab mix. I am very
social, and just can’t wait to
meet every person, or pet
that I see! With my foster family I have met many people of all ages, dogs,
a cat and even a bunch of water turtles. I am nice to everyone and even get
down on my belly to meet smaller things. I love attention, and will lean up
against your leg to be pet.
I am also a goofy boy! You can tell I am young by the way that I run when I
get excited! I have been going to the dog park with my foster family, and
the other dogs love me! I am big and fun to wrestle and frolic with, but I am
not aggressive so even the little dogs can be around me. I am a very
submissive boy, and need a family that I can trust to keep me safe.
I love belly rubs and like to be around my family as much as I can. I like to
take walks, and romps at the dog park a couple of times a day. When I am
not doing that, you will find me somewhere close by, holding down the
floor!
My foster mom is crate training me, and I am learning house rules too. I am
coming along great! I know basic obedience, and once I am on the leash
for a minute or two, I settle down to a nice walk beside you. My 4 year old
foster-sister has walked me on my leash without a problem.
