Jet is a one year old male black lab/shepherd mix that was saved from the Maricopa County
shelter. He was scheduled for euthanasia due to severe bite wounds on his neck, head and
ears, which caused him to be in pain and extremely fearful. This poor dog suffered like this for
days out in the Indian Reservation until he was brought in as a stray. He was taken to Bethany
Animal Hospital and treated thanks to the wonderful volunteers at M.A.I.N., who saw such
potential in this gentle and loving dog. But, that's not the end of the story for Jet. Now that Jet
has been treated and is feeling better, he needs a home to call his own to be safe and loved.
We've discovered that Jet is a very energetic pup who will need a home that can keep up with
his activity level. He is after all, just a year old and still in full puppy mode. He will need to learn
some manners from a person willing to help his transition from reservation dog to house dog.
He is very trusting and has a great willingness to please, so training him to be a proper pup
should come very easy.  He has been around small children, but may knock little ones down
and  cats are unknown at this time. Jet is a true diamond in the rough and his gentle and loving
nature should make him a wonderful family dog for just about anyone willing to give him that
chance.
